Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is taking steps to eliminate the vacancy of a good quality leg spinner. As part of that, the BCB has made it mandatory to play leg spinners in the national league. There is a leg spinner in hand, but in the two rounds of the National League, no leg spinner has played in Dhaka and Rangpur division. BCB dismissed two coaches from both teams as punishment.

This time, the leg spinner is in the Dhaka Division squad in the National League. Jahangir Alam, the coach of the team did not keep him in the eleven drawn matches. Rangpur Division coach Masud Parvez did not put another leg spinner Rishad Hossain in the squad. Not surprisingly, the Chief Selector, Minhajul Abedin, said, “We see the mentality of the leg-spinner. And despite saying so much, Rishad was not kept in the squad. We took him to Sri Lanka a few days ago. But divisional teams are not being given the opportunity.

BCB President Nazmul Hassan expressed his dissatisfaction with journalists this afternoon over why the two leg spinners were ignored, 'Look we are talking so much about leg spinners, leg spinner Rishad has not been played in the NCL (National League). The writing was not played either. Despite saying so much…. What we've been up to lately is why the leg spinners haven't played in the NCL, two coaches have been called today. Want to know why the game was not played.

The two coaches have to explain. A source at the board confirmed that the BCB had appointed two new coaches to replace them very quickly in the evening. Mohammad Selim, who replaced Jahangir as coach of the Dhaka division, and Jafrul Ehsan have been given the responsibility of replacing Masood of Rangpur. A BCB official said the two had already left the venue.
