Lawyer Anisul Haque said the process of setting up a prosecution team (the party's lawyers team) was in the process of accepting the chargesheet for the murder of BUET student Abara. The law minister told reporters after a meeting with a European Union (EU) delegation at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The law minister said, "The process of forming a prosecution team has begun to expedite the receipt of the charge sheet for the murder case of Abra." The moment the charge sheet for Abara's murder is filed, the trial will begin and end quickly.

Asked when the trial of Abara's murder would begin, the minister said, "After investigating any criminal case, the investigation was launched. An investigation is underway accordingly. Many of the accused have been detained. Many of them confessed to the crime. The Home Minister said some time ago that he would give a charge sheet for the case in a hurry. In the meantime, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the end of the trial. We are preparing our prosecution for that.

A second-year student of BUET's Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department, Abrar Fahd, 20, was arrested on October 9 in the room number 20 of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and beaten by some Chhatra League activists.
Abarra's father Barkat Ullah filed a case against Chakbazar police station. Police have so far arrested 20 people including six accused in the case. Five of them confessed to the responsibility.

Angry after this incident, the general students, including the classmates of Abrar, started a movement on the highway. Later, on 5 October, Vice-Chancellor Prof Saiful Islam declared the ban on student politics at BUET campus. He also announced to take action against any student of BUET if he was involved in student politics.

BUET general students on Tuesday announced the exclusion of all activities related to education until the permanent expulsion from the University of Abar's killers and submission of a charge sheet in the murder case.
